V-SAT - Vels Scholarship Admission Test

VISTAS is a multi-disciplinary Deemed-to-be University approved by the UGC and is Accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade and also accredited by NBA for programs in Engineering , Management Studies and Pharmacy. In addition, the courses offered are approved by various regulatory bodies like AICTE, PCI, IAP, BCI , NCTE, D G Shipping.

The Vels Scholarship Admission Test (V-SAT) is an Online Scholarship Test for students who have completed +2 or are awaiting results in the year 2020. The test will be of 45 min duration and will be an aptitude test comprising Quantitative aptitude, Verbal ability and analytical reasoning. The test will be conducted online on 1st July, 2020.

V-SAT aims to identify 500 meritorious students across the state of Tamil Nadu (District-wise) in the order of merit and offers 100% Scholarship in Tuition fee to join any of the over 100+ courses on offer at VISTAS.

Merit Scholarships of upto 75% of the tuition fee are also offered to all the other participants who attempt the test and in the order of their merit.

Terms and Conditions

  • 1. Vels Scholarship Admission Test (V-SAT) is organized by Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS), Deemed to be University, Pallavaram, Chennai.
  • 2. Each candidate should read, understand all the terms and conditions before registration. Feel Free to clarify us for any doubts.
  • 3. The mode of V-SAT examination will be only through online.
  • 4. Candidates should meet the necessary age and eligibility requirement for the concerned Programme / Courses.
  • 5. V-SAT scholarship applicable for the Programmes/courses mentioned in the V-SAT Brochure.
  • 6. Students can directly register for admission and also attempt for scholarship test to get scholarships on fees.
  • 7. Only 10% of seats in each Programme/Course is reserved for V-SAT Scholarship. If more number of the students opting for same course, in such cases, based on the V-SAT Ranking and mark scored the courses will be allotted to students, subject to availability. Remaining students will be given option to choose other available Courses/Programmes.
  • 8. In case of tie between more than one candidate, the priority may be given on the Score and Percentage obtained in the 10th Standard and the time taken for completion of V-SAT test which ever entirely subject to the discretion of the VISTAS authorities.
  • 9. After the written examination, shortlisted candidates should attend the Personal Interview.
  • 10. The decision of the authorities of VISTAS shall be final and binding on the ranking of all the test participants of V-SAT. No correspondences will be entertained in this regard.
  • 11. Only 10 district wise toppers are eligible for 100% tuition fee waiver for the entire duration of the courses/programme. Based on the Rankings, Other V-SAT rank holders can avail up to 75% scholarship in the tuition fee for 1st year alone. Except waive in Tuition fees all other fees are applicable for V-SAT Toppers and Rank holders
  • 12. Each candidate should indicate the clear communication address and should inform if there is any change in address or contact number.
  • 13. After the examinations the selected V-SAT scholarship candidates should submit Identity cards, age proof and other relevant documents.
  • 14. The candidates have to get the prior permission from their parents/guardian for appearing V-SAT examination.
  • 15. Enrolled candidates shall access to the exam only after electronic verification.
  • 16. All the questions will be objective type and negative marking for wrong answers.
  • 17. The questions will be based on Quantitative, Verbal and Logical Reasoning.
  • 18. V-SAT will not be responsible if there is a system error or power failure at the time of the examination.
  • 19. Candidates will be disqualified if found any foul play during the examination / Breach of any of the examination rules.
