School of Management Studies, Vels University Organized Achievers Conclave on 19.03.2015.It is a forum where entrepreneurs from different sectors deliver their real time experience and inspire the entrepreneurial traits in students. An introductory address to Achievers Conclave was delivered by Dr.P.Govindarajan, Special Officer, Vels University. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr.E.Gopinathan, Vice Chancellor i/c, VELS University. Dr.B.Krishnamurthy, Registrar, Vels University inspired the management students to take up entrepreneurship in his Special Address. Ms. Bhargavii Mani, Business Head, Edge Design House, Chennai, delivered the Inaugural Address, Ms. Bhargavii Mani highlighted that entrepreneurs should be visionary, they have to stick to their core values at any point of time. Emotional intelligence is very important for a businessman to be successful and a business man should have a strong bonding with his customer and understand the emotional language of the customers. The first session started with Mr.Sabarinath C. Nair, Founder & CEO,Skillveri Training Solutions Pvt Limited, Chennai, laid emphasis on inspiring and a committed team. A successful business always has a inspiring and a dedicated team. Team synergy and co-ordination are required for any entrepreneur to excel in his profession. The second session was followed by Ms.Dhakshayani S. Dalavai, Founder & CEO, Pratiks Enviro Foundation. She said, for a business-man to thrive and sustain in any field has to be very passionate and have a strong desire to be an entrepreneur. There should be a fire in the belly to excel and become a successful entrepreneur.
The afternoon session witnessed two speakers Mr.T.P.Showkhathali.Chairman&Managing Director,Expose Info Tech India Pvt Ltd.Calicut. and Mr.D.Sridaran,Chairman&Managing Director,PV Hi Tech Systems Pvt.Ltd,Chennai.Mr.T.P.Showkhathali is the Alumini of Vels University.He expressed his practical exposure to his entrepreneurial journey,how he started this journey,and what has brought him to what he is today.He highlighted business is risk.Business is taking bold decisions,bearing the risk and expecting returns.The session concluded with a Valedictory Address and the address was delivered by Mr.T.R. Jawahar,Chairman&Managing Director,News Today,Maalai Chudar,Talk Media Pvt.Ltd.Chennai.He expressed that unique ideas are very important for Business.What ever field the entrepreneur may be, updating ones knowledge to the latest trends and being innovative could make an entrepreneur successful.the session was concluded with the formal vote of thanks.
