On the mark of National Science Day the Biomedical department has organized, first National conference on "Applications Of Bio Inspired Computational Methods for Prediction And Management Of Lifestyle Diseases" on February 20 & 21 , 2017.
The main aim of this conference is to provide a unique opportunity for disseminating the latest advances, applications, future trends for creating synergy and supporting interdisciplinary research and development.The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Himangshu Das, Director, National institute for empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) along with the guest of honor – Mr. B. Vijey Kumar, software engineer (R&D), Medtronics – GI solutions, California, USA. The day started with technical sessions with guest lectures by eminent speakers like Mr.B.Vijey Kumar, Mr.K.Venkataraman from Biovision Medical systems,Chennai followed by paper presentations by participants.
The second day started with enlightening talks from Dr.Venkat Sai,Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai and Mr.S.Balachander, Helix Corporation, Bangalore, Dr. S. Shenbaga Devi, Director, Centre for Medical Electronics, Anna University, Chennai followed by paper presentation. Thus the conference provided an effective platform for researchers and practitioners to meet the cutting edge development in the biomedical field.
